Here we see a view of a Douglas C-54 Skymaster of the US Army Air Forces Tropical Science Mission at Mombasa, Kenya, in April 1946 from the back left, with some of the buildings of the airfield seen in the background.
Many thanks to Michael Hopkins for sending us these pictures, which came from his father's collection, and came towards the end of his RAF service, which lasted from August 1941 to November 1946.
