Dido Class Cruiser from the right
Here we see a Dido class cruiser from the right, giving a good view of the layout of the original version of this class, with their sloped smoke stacks. The class was designed to carry ten 5.25in guns in five twin turrets, but Phoebe, Dido, Euryalus, Argonaut and Charybdis were all either completed or modified to carry a lighter gun in place of 'Q' gun, in front of the bridge, identifying this as one of those ships.
