Destroyed Bridge near Narni, north of Rome
Here we see a destroyed bridge in the Narni area, forty miles to the north of Rome. The bridge is in the left foreground of the picture - the road can be seen running up to the broken span, where the tall column still stands. The exact location is unclear, but it is probably in the hills to the south of the town. The bridge was destroyed by the retreating Germans after the fall of Rome.
