Curtiss R-6 or R-9 being hoisted on USS Langley (CV-1)
Here we see either a Curtiss R-6 or Curtiss R-9 being hoisted onto the carrier USS Langley (CV-1) at some point in the early 1920s. The two models were almost identical, apart from the position of the pilot, and can only really be told apart using serial numbers.
