Workers sitting on boat hull of Curtiss F-5L
Here we see some workers sitting on the boat hull of a Curtiss F-5L at Curtiss's North Elmwood factory on 27 August 1918. This gives a good idea of scale, and also reminds us that this was a very robust structure, strong enough to cope with the shock of landing on the sea.
