Street in Coutances after Operation Cobra
Here we see an almost abandoned street in Coutances, which fell to the Americans on 29 July during Operation Cobra, with one lone soldier looking at a damaged vehicle. In the foreground is a M5 Stuart Light Tank, with its offset turret almost hidden.
