Consolidated PBY-5A Catalina From the Left
Here we see a late production Consolidated PBY-5A Catalina outlined against a bright background, giving us a clear view of its silhouette, showing the stepped hull and the tall tail. The exact model can be identified by the combination of the nose gun turret, introduced during the production run of the PBY-5A, and the original rounded tail, which was replaced with a taller version on the PBY-6A.
