Canadian troops attack Oranje Canal, 1945
Here we see Canadian troops during the battle for the Oranje Canal, which runs roughly east-west across part of central Holland. The Canadians came under machine gun fire while approaching the canal, and had to advance under cover of the canal banks and nearby hedges.
