Bulldozers clearing damaged bridge, Italy, 1944
Here we see the Royal Engineers using a bulldozer to clear rubble away from a destroyed bridge somewhere on the Italian front. The Engineers were operating not far from the German front line, and almost ahead of the Allied infantry.
