British Sherman tanks south-east of Caen
Here we see a column of British and Canadian Sherman tanks advancing towards the fighting south-east of Caen, probably during or just after Operation Goodwood. On the left is probably Sherman V (M4A4), which had this sloped rear and a longer hull that gave it wider gaps between the bogies. The second tank is a Sherman Crab flail tank, designed to clear mine fields.
