British Infantry at Ronta, 1944
Here we see British infantry taking shelter in the ruins of the village of Ronta, on the road north out of the Mugello Valley. These troops were taking part in Operation Olive, the autumn 1944 attack on the Gothic Line, as part of the US 5th Army.
