British M10 Tank Destroyer crossing bridge, Nijmegen
Here we see a British M10 Tank Destroyer crossing a bailey bridge across a canal in the Nijmegan area during Operation Market Garden. The British called the M10 the Achilles, and converted over 1,000 of them to carry the 17-pounder anti-tank gun. The lack of any obvious gun in this picture suggest that the turret was reversed.
