Bombing the Zweiz synthetic oil plant
Here we see the Zweiz synthetic oil plant being bombed by B-24 Liberators from the US 8th Air Force. The plant was used to turn lignite coal into synthetic oil and its destruction was part of the Allies' Oil Plan.
