Bombing Causeway to Mantua, 1944
Here we see an attack on the causeway leading to Mantua being carried out by Thunderbolts of the US 12th Air Force. This attack was carried out in the summer of 1944, while the fighting was on the other side of the Apennines, so the purpose was to cut communications links in the Po valley.
