Here we see the rather ungainly looking Blackburn Dart torpedo bomber from the front, showing her rather odd engine installation, and the split undercarriage. This was a significant development, as early British torpedo bombers had a one piece undercarriage that had to be jettisoned before the torpedo could be launched. The Dart was the first in a series of Blackburn torpedo bombers used by the Fleet Air Arm in the 1920s and 1930s.
