Blackburn Dart from the front

Here we see the rather ungainly looking Blackburn Dart torpedo bomber from the front, showing her rather odd engine installation, and the split undercarriage. This was a significant development, as early British torpedo bombers had a one piece undercarriage that had to be jettisoned before the torpedo could be launched. The Dart was the first in a series of Blackburn torpedo bombers used by the Fleet Air Arm in the 1920s and 1930s.
