Royal Naval Hospital, Bighi, Malta

Bighi Hospital on Malta seen from the sea. This was a Naval hospital built in the 1830s and that remained in use for well over a century. The hospital buildings are the classical structures on the headland.

Many thanks to David Horne for sending us these pictures, which came from the collection of his father, Peter Horne, who served with the Fleet Air Arm from 1942 to 1946.
