Beach Master, Normandy, 1944
Here we see one of the beach masters who controlled movement on the D-Day beaches, allowing the vast invasion force to flow inland smoothly (Operation Overlord). He is being aided by a force of Naval Commandos, who supervised the unloading of supplies.
