Attacker class escort carrier with lifts down
Here we see an Attacker class escort carrier with both of her lifts in the down position, leaving large gaps in the flight deck. These carriers were built in the United States, as part of the large Bogue class, and nine served with the Royal Navy, all surviving the Second World War.
