Italian Submarine Asteria surfaced, 17 February 1943

Here we see the Acciaio class submarine Asteria which has surfaced after being damaged by the British destroyers HMS Easton and HMS Wheatland on 17 February 1943. After the crew abandoned ship she was scuttled to prevent her falling into British hands.
