Ashigara from the right
Here we see the Nachi class cruiser Ashigara from the right, giving a good view of her lengthy stern. Her two spotter planes can be seen below the aircraft crane (behind the mainmast). The Ashigara paid visits to British and German waters in 1937 and was thus photographed more often than most Japanese warships.
