Lt Hartmuth Baldamus in Albatros D.II

Here we see Lt. Hartmuth Baldamus of Jasta 9 sitting in his Albatros D.II somewhere in Champagne in March 1917. Baldamus was a highly decorated 'ace', credited with seventeeen victories, but he was killed in an aerial collision in April 1917, only a month after this picture was taken.
