Fairey Albacore in Flight
Here we see a Fairey Albacore in flight. The Albacore was designed to replace the Fairey Swordfish, and succesfully did so on larger fleet carriers, but it was later replaced by the Barracuda and American aircraft, and was too large to operate from escort carriers, so the Swordfish remained in service longer than the Albacore, but only on these smaller carriers.
