Australians on the airfield at Labuan
Here we see two Australian troops (Lance-Corporal Laurie Dawson and Private Jack Edwards) on the airfield on Labuan Island, off the north coast of Borneo. The airfield was captured on the first day of the invasion, 10 June 1945.
