Boeing XC-97 Stratofreighter on the ground
Here we see the first prototype of the C-97 Stratofreight, the XC-97 43-27470, on the ground, possibly on display judging by the ropes that surround it and the grandstand to the left of the picture. This was a cargo aircraft based on the B-29, with the same wings but a greatly modified fuselage.
