US airborne troops advance east of Rhine on Churchill Tank
Here we see a group of US airborne troops hitching a list on a British Churchill tank during the advance east from the Rhine. This picture shows them passing through the village of Appelhusen, just under ten miles to the west of Munster. Note the lack of the track guard on the tank, and the extra track sections that have been used as extra armour around the turret. With the gun off screen, and the details of the turret hidden it isn't possible to tell what model of Churchill this was.
