Enlisted men sleeping in hanger, USS Yorktown (CV-10), 1943
Here we see some of 2,500 enlisted men who were sleeping in cots in the hanger of the Essex class carrier USS Yorktown (CV-10) as she steamed west to Pearl Harbor in September 1943 on her way to the warzone for the first time.
