USS Watts (DD-567) and USS Philippine Sea (CVA-47) refueling at sea, 1955
Here we see the Fletcher class destroyer USS Watts (DD-567) and the Essex class carrier USS Philippine Sea (CVA-47) refueling at sea from the Platte (AO-24) on 19 July 1955, when they were all part of the massive Seventh Fleet in Far Eastern waters. Two more carriers and more escort vessels can be seen in the background.
