USS Thompson (DMS-38) in South Carolina, 1945
Here we see the Gleaves class destroyer USS Thompson (DMS-38/ DD-627) in the South Carolina Navy Yard on 4 July 1945, just after she had been converted from a destroyer into a fast minesweeper.
