5in gun loading drill, USS Stevens (DD-479), 1943
Here we see some of the crew of the Fletcher class destroyer USS Stevens (DD-479) carrying out loading drill for one of her 5in guns during 1943. One side of the gun house appears to have been removed to allow more of the crew to watch and take part in the exercise.
