USS Shaw (DD-373) on fire in floating dry dock YFD-2
Here we see the Mahan class destroyer USS Shaw (DD-373) on fire in floating drydock YFD-2 as a result of the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor. The Shaw caused further damage to the dry dock when her forward ammo storage exploded. However both the destroyer and the dry dock were repaired and returned to service. The Shaw was actually repaired in the restored YFD-2, before returning to the US East Coast to have new bows installed.
