USS Ringgold (DD-500) undergoing inclining experiments, 1959
Here we see the Fletcher class destroyer USS Ringgold (DD-500) being used for inclining experiments at Charleston, South Carolina, on 17 July 1959. At this point she still has both of her forward 5in guns, unlike some of her sister ships who had the second gun replaced with an anti-submarine weapon.
