Crew of USS Richard B Anderson (DD-786) unstacking 5in powder cases
Here we see some of the crew of the Gearing class destroyer USS Richard B Anderson (DD-786) in July 1966 unstacking a large pile of 5in powder cases ready for them to be transfered to a fleet oiler. The Richard B Anderson was about to return to the US after a tour of duty off Vietnam, so presumably the powder cases were to be left behind for use on other ships.
