USS Preston (DD-795) arriving at Pearl Harbor, 1964
Here we see the Fletcher class destroyer USS Preston (DD-795) arriving at Pearl Harbor on 19 March 1964, with many of her crew lining the rails. The Preston had moved to the Pacific to help support a series of nuclear weapon tests, grouped together as Operation Dominic, which were carried out in responce to a Soviet resumption of testing.
