Base of Mainmast, USS Pennsylvania (BB-38)
Here we see the aft 14in turret and the base of the cage mainmast of the Pennsylvania class battleship USS Pennsylvania (BB-38). The mast looks rather flimsy from this angle, but they were generally rather strong structures. Note the small guns on top of the main turret.
