USS New York (BB-34) leaves Reykjavik, July 1941
Here we see the US fleet leaving Reykjavik in early July 1941, seen from the quarterdeck of the New York class battleship USS New York (BB-34). This came just after the fleet had escorted a US occupation force to Iceland, where they replaced a British garrison.
