Sopwith 1 1/2 Strutter on USS Nevada (BB-36)
Here we see a Sopwith 1 1/2 Strutter being carried on top of No.2 14in turret on the Nevada class battleship USS Nevada (BB-36), c.1921. The between the two halves of her upper wing can clearly be seen, which allowed the wings to be easily removed for storage onboard ship.
