Here we see the Fletcher class destroyer USS Miller (DD-535) coming alongside the Essex class carrier USS Wasp (CVS-18) to carry out a demonstration of ship to ship refueling on the carrier's family cruise day, 16 April 1959. A group of family members can be seen on the carrier deck.
