Officers and crew of USS Mertz (DD-691), 1946
Here we see the officers and crew of the Fletcher class destroyer USS Mertz (DD-691) at San Deigo early in 1946. The picture shows roughly 150 men, just over half of her full wartime crew, suggesting that this picture was taken as the Mertz was being prepared for decommissioning.
