USS Lansdale (DD-426), New York Navy Yard, 22 October 1943
Here we see the Benson class destroyer USS Lansdale (DD-426) off the New York Navy Yard on 22 October 1943. At this point she is carrying four of the original five guns and one of the two torpedo tube mounts, and the barrel of a twin AA gun can be seen where the missing gun would have been.
