Front view of USS Killen (DD-593), Hunters Point, 1945
This frontal view shows is the stern of the Fletcher class destroyer USS Killen (DD-593) on 2 April 1945, after an overhaul at the Hunter's Point yard, San Francisco. She had been damaged by a Japanese bomb off Leyte on 1 November 1944 and returned to the US for repairs. Three changes are circled, including what appear to be two searchlights on the bridge platform and a small disc on the mast.
