Damage to USS Kearny (DD-432) seen at Iceland
Her we see some of the damage caused to the Gleaves class destroyer USS Kearny (DD-432) when she was torpedoed by U-568 on 17 October 1941. This picture was taken after her arrival at Iceland on 19 October, and has her sister ship USS Monson (DD-436) on her port side.
