Newly launched USS Johnston (DD-557), Tacoma, 1943
Here we see the newly launched Fletcher class destroyer USS Johnston (DD-557) at Tacoma, Seattle, on 25 March 1943. The main superstructures have been constructed, but plenty of work is still to be done, including adding all of her weapons.
