Here we see the Allan M Sumner class destroyer USS John R Pierce (DD-753) at sea in 1965, either towards the end of her time in the Mediterranean or when she was serving as a reserve training ship b based at Brooklyn. Note the 3in AA guns between the rear 5in gun and the rear funnel, and the triple tubes for anti-submarine torpedoes between the funnels
