USS Hancock (CV-19) in South China Sea, 1966
Here we see the Essex class carrier USS Hancock (CV-19) operating in the South China Sea on 15 June 1966. Even at this late date her aircraft include the piston engine powered Douglas A-1 Skyraider, which was used for close air support over Vietnam.
