USS Franklin (CV-13) arrives at New York for repairs, April 1945
Here we see the Essex class carrier USS Franklin (CV-13) arriving at the New York Navy Yard on 28 April 1945 for repairs to the damage she suffered off Japan on 19 March 1945. We are looking aft from the island towards the burnt out rear flight deck.
