USS Flusser (DD-368) before the war
Here we see the Mahan class destroyer USS Flusser (DD-368) moving at high speed on pre-war manoeuvres, creating quite an impressive bow wave. However her superfiring secodn gun is clearly seen above the water, showing that it could be operated easily even at speed.
