5in Loading Drill, USS Florida (BB-30)
Here we see a loading drill for one of the 5in guns on the Florida class battleship USS Florida (BB-30), at some point in
1915. These guns were carried in casemates on the gun deck and were almost unusable in heavy seas or when moving at speed as too much water came into the space.
