USS Cummings (DD-365) at sea, 1944
Here we see the Mahan class destroyer USS Cummings (DD-365) at sea on 3 September 1944, the day the US Navy attacked Wake Island, with some cruisers and destroyers actually bombarding the island while carrier aircraft attacked.
