USS Converse (DD-509), Hunters Point, 1944
Here we see the Fletcher class destroyer USS Converse (DD-509) off Hunter's Point Navy Yard, San Francisco, on 9 October 1944. At this point she is painted in the rather blocky Camo Measure 31 Design 2C. This picture gives a good view of the array of radar antenna carried on destroyers by this point in the war.
