USS Clark (DD-361) at Sydney, 1941
Here we see the Porter class destroyer USS Clark (DD-361) in Sydney Harbour in March 1941. Her crew are lining the decks, possibly to be inspected by whoever is in the launch passing alongside. Note the two tripod masts, installed to reduce the amount of wire bracing required, but that proved to be rather too heavy.
